Branding Photos, But Make Them Feel Like You.

Most people think branding photos are stiff, overly posed, and a little uncomfortable. It's something you have to do for your business, and not something you actually enjoy.

But the truth?

Branding photos should be fun- full of confidence and showing off you in your element.

When I planned this session with Crysta, my entire goal wasn't perfection or performance- it was simply just capturing her presence, in her element.

She's a creative through and through, someone who connects with people and is authentically her, and I felt like her brand should reflect that. Nothing forced, just real.

So we leaned exactly into that.

An open field, some soft movement, and a setting that felt natural (because your brand doesn't need a whole studio production to be powerful).

One of my favorite parts of this session was how effortless it was. The way Crysta was able to take these photos beyond a perfectly posed headshot? The way we captured movement and little in-between moments. It showed feeling. And that feeling? That's what people connect with.

We chose a look that felt warm and grounded that fit perfectly with the landscape we chose. Nothing overdone or distracting, just intentional and true to her. That's the balance I'm always chasing when it comes to branding sessions.
